The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provides free educational and vocational counseling to transitioning service members and veterans who will discharge from active duty within the next six months, or who have been discharged for up to one year. Services include: counseling on career decision-making for civilian or military occupations; academic and adjustment counseling to assist the transition to civilian employment; and educational and vocational counseling to help improve your marketability.
